Install KOTOR VR

KOTOR VR is free. It needs your own copy of Knights of the Old Republic with the K1R mod installed: the installer converts it on your PC, for your own use. The download is coming soon; this is what it will ask of you.

The guide, step by step

  1. Blade & Sorcery. The PC VR version, from Steam. KOTOR VR was tested on Blade & Sorcery 1.3.2; on another version it still installs and runs, but something may not work until KOTOR VR is updated for it.
  2. The Outer Rim. A free Blade & Sorcery mod that KOTOR VR builds on, from its own page.
  3. Your KOTOR, with K1R. KOTOR 1 on PC, in English, with K1R 1.2 (KOTOR 1 Restoration). Texture packs or other mods in your Override folder are fine: the installer names them and converts K1R's files only.
  4. The KOTOR VR installer (the download is coming soon). It finds your KOTOR and Blade & Sorcery, checks your KOTOR, K1R and The Outer Rim before it changes anything, and tells you plainly if something is not right.
  5. The conversion. The installer converts your own KOTOR on your PC: about 14 minutes on a fast PC, longer on a slower one. If it is interrupted, run it again: it carries on where it stopped. Then it installs KOTOR VR into Blade & Sorcery and checks every file.
  6. Play. Start Blade & Sorcery in your headset.

The installer can also repair or uninstall KOTOR VR. Uninstalling keeps your saves.
